h what a year 2008 has been and how great will 2009 be!
So this year has been a major event for my life and my families life as well. Many things have changed and all in a very good way. There have been some major ups and incredibly low downs. But all in all it was a great year and I am looking forward to a incredibly powerful 2009. I am not going into the details of 2008 because that is the past. There are many things that I want to forget about and move on from and that is exactly what I am going to do.
I have a lot of things on my plate that I want to accomplish for this coming year. Every goal that I have set for next year is working towards one dream or another that I have had throughout my life. Some are physical, some are mental, some are spiritual. I truly believe that unless we focus on all three areas of our lives we cannot be whole. That is not to say that someone who is not in good physical shape is not a whole person. If you are content with your body, what ever shape it is in, then great for you. I would bet however that if you are good with your body that you probably still have more mental work or spiritual work that you want to do. Some things will always be about growth and change. I think we all understand that we will continue to develop spiritually as long as we work for it.
So I am going to share with you some of my goals for 2009 and what I am going to do about them!
- Lose 50 pounds of fat and train for the Highland Games. I have wanted to compete in the Highland games for years. I have always been impressed by the powerful display of a man throwing a 16 foot long 100 pound log end over end. I have already been working on my diet. I have a work out regime that I have spent some time developing to first burn off fat and then put on the muscle. I will not be competing until the 2010 games as I know I have a lot of work to do. But this is something that I have wanted to do for years and I am going to make it happen.
- Complete my Psychology degree. I will be completing all my work by March 1st of this year. I am setting aside an hour a night until it is all complete. March 1st I will submit my Thesis and I will be complete. The bachelors work is already done and I should have those certificates in the next month or so. So if anyone needs someone to talk to…….. Let me know. This also mean by the way that I will be legal clergy so if you have something going on there again let me know.
- Get some certifications! I have been working in the IT world for years and never really bothered to get any certifications. Well I am going to change that this year as well. I am going to pick up a couple of "easy" certifications. This wont really make a difference as far as my job goes, it is more about proving things to myself. Its something that I want to do for me. So in march after finishing my school work I will then pick up a study guide and start prepping for the tests again setting aside an hour a day to get this done.
- Dedicate time to my Spiritual Work. I will be setting aside 1 hour each evening to work on my studies of the craft. This might be time spent reading, working on spells, or coven home work. I do this all now, but I don’t do it regularly enough. That is an area that I really want to grow in this year as well so I am going to set aside the time to make it happen.
Well that is what I am planning on doing. Some people call these "New Years Resolutions." I call them things I'm going to get done. They are all important to me and things that I can accomplish.
I wish you all the best and if you like comment with somethings that you will be working on this year as well.
Blessed Be!
